State Senator Rob Ortt (R,C,I-North Tonawanda) invited NFL players to Arlington National Cemetery and other memorials dedicated to members of our Armed Forces.
Senator Ortt said, "Two days ago, I escorted 25 World War II, Korea, and Vietnam Veterans to our nation's monuments and memorials in their honor. It was such a moving experience and tremendous honor, which is why today I was once again struck by NFL players who kneeled during the playing of our national anthem. As someone who has served our country on the frontlines of war, I have witnessed firsthand the ultimate sacrifice so many of our brothers and sisters have made for our flag and the freedom to protest. That's why today, I am extending a personal invitation to each and every Buffalo Bills player to join me on a tour of Arlington National Cemetery during next year's Western New York Warrior's Flight - to see exactly why we stand during the anthem."
