Murphy, officials, mark 2nd anniversary of Valhalla crash

VALHALLA, NY - On the second anniversary of the tragic train accident in Valhalla, State Senator Terrence Murphy, Westchester County Legislator Margaret Cunzio and Mt. Pleasant Supervisor Carl Fulgenzi issued the following statement:
Senator Murphy said, "Today marks the second anniversary of Metro North's deadliest train accident and we take time to remember the lives lost. To honor the victims of this terrible accident New York State must recommit itself to eliminate the dangerous grade crossings across the Empire State. My thoughts and prayers remain with the families of the victims and everyone impacted by this terrible tragedy."
Westchester County Legislator Margaret Cunzio said, "We will remember the victims who perished in the cras two years ago and we hope to move forward with improvements to ensure the safety of all those who utilize dangerous grade crossings."
Mt. Pleasant Supervisor Carl Fulgenzi said, "On the second anniversary of the tragedy in Valhalla, our thoughts and prayers remain with the families of the victims and those still recovering. We are still waiting for the final report from the NTSB which will help our town move forward from this horrific accident."
