
Senator Avella Presents Grant to Life’s WORC

Today, State Senator Tony Avella presented a $25,000 grant to Life’s WORC of Queens. The grant will help fund a number of renovations needed at four Life’s WORC homes in Senator Avella’s District.
Life's WORC maintains 40 homes and 12 non-residential programs throughout Queens, Manhattan and on Long Island. They also offer a Family Center for Autism offering programs and support services to individuals on the spectrum. Through their homes, non-residential programs and the Family Center for Autism, Life's WORC provides services to about 1,700 special needs individuals with intellectual challenges, developmental disabilities, and autism.
