Governor Cuomo Signs Legislation Sponsored By Senator Larkin And Assemblyman Miller

Senator Bill Larkin (R, C, I - Cornwall-On-Hudson) and Assemblyman Brian Miller (R, I – New Hartford) announced today that Governor Cuomo signed legislation that would discontinue the parkland designation for 4.74 acres of land in the Village of Montgomery.
“I want to thank Senator Bill Larkin and Assemblyman Brian Miller for supporting us on this effort from the beginning,” said Village of Montgomery Mayor Steve Brescia. “This legislation being signed into law allows us to move forward on our vision to use this parcel of parkland for the installation and operation of solar panels.”
“Working with our communities to ensure that they have every opportunity to invest in new energy solutions has never been more important,” said Senator Bill Larkin. “I applaud the Village of Montgomery for their forward thinking and was happy to work with Assemblyman Miller in getting this important legislation passed.”
“Passing meaningful legislation that has a direct and positive impact on our local communities is very important to me,” said Miller. “I am proud that the work done by Sen. Larkin, Mayor Brescia and myself will create opportunities for the Village of Montgomery to invest in solar energy.”
Senator Larkin and Assemblyman Miller will monitor the project moving forward and will continue to work with the greater Montgomery community if further assistance is needed.
