CELORON –Senator Catharine Young (R, C, I – 57th District) recognized a Celoron man for volunteering 10 years of service to his community during the Celoron Hose Company annual banquet Saturday.
First Assistant Chief Jordy Bailey has served his community as a member of the department for 10 years.
Senator Young said it takes a strong desire to help others and a tireless sense of community to forsake time with family and friends to serve as a volunteer firefighter.
“For a decade, Jordy has given back to his community as a member of the Celoron Hose Company,” Senator Young said. “His commitment to the safety of his neighbors is an inspiration and he deserves our thanks and gratitude.”
Senator Young presented Assistant Chief Bailey with a citation recognizing his achievement and commitment.
“It is an honor to be able to present Jordy with a citation to commemorate his 10 years of service,” Senator Young said.
Senator Young also thanked Assistant Chief Bailey’s family for the sacrifices they made and the support they gave him so he could serve the community.
