Senator Phillips Hosts Celebration For Siemens Regional Finalists And Semifinalist

Senator Elaine Phillips recently hosted a celebration ceremony for students in the 7th Senate District who were named semifinalist and regional finalist in the national Siemens Competition in Math, Science and Technology.
“Congratulations to all the Siemens regional finalist and semifinalists for your remarkable projects in math, science and technology,” Senator Elaine Phillips said. “I am confident Long Island, New York and our country are in good hands with these future leaders developing innovative, forward-thing projects that will help lead us into a more modern, technological world. Thank you all for being outstanding representatives of your schools and communities.”
The semifinalist were among 56 Long Islanders awarded on October 17. The regional finalist, who were among 101 students nationwide, were announced on October 18.
