Senator Fred Akshar said, “I'm so incredibly inspired by the exceptional work that these young people do to make our community better. Whether it's raising money for those in need or balancing many academic, athletic and community service commitments, we need to continue to recognize and encourage this kind of excellence in our young people.”
Akshar's All-Star Cormari Wachuku from Binghamton West Middle School said, “For me, it's all about what you do and how you do it. For the younger generation, I would just advise them to simply do their greatest in everything they do.”
Akshar's All-Star Sean Kane from Susquehanna Valley High School said, “Being an Akshar's All-Star means to work the hardest academically and athletically. For younger students, I recommend to just work as hard as you can and be as kind as you can to everyone. That's really what it comes down to.”
