Tedisco Honors Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Boys Cross Country Team & Scotia-Glenville Girls Breaststroke State Champions

Senator Jim Tedisco (R,C,I, REF-Glenville) today honored the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) Class B State Champion Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School Boys Cross Country Team and presented the team with a copy of a resolution he sponsored that unanimously passed the New York State Senate. Tedisco also honored on the Senate Floor with a resolution Scotia-Glenville High School senior Olivia Jack for winning the NYSPHSAA State Swim Championship in the 100-yard breaststroke.
This is the first Federation Championship for the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School Boys Cross Country Team and its second straight state NYSPHSAA championship. Scotia-Glenville’s Olivia Jack earned her first state championship in the 100-yard breaststroke with an incredible time of 1:02.06, beating her closest opponent by .71 hundredths of a second. Jack, who will be attending Penn State in the fall, is the Section II record-holder in the 100-yard breaststroke and has won 11 Section II titles.
"Olivia Jack from Scotia Glenville High School and the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School Boys Cross Country Team are state champions who have excelled athletically and academically to the highest level in our state. These outstanding student scholar-athletes have made the 49th Senate District proud," said Tedisco.
