Tedisco, Marchione, NYS Senate Honor Shenendehowa Diving & Wrestling State Champion

Senator Jim Tedisco (R,C,I, REF-Glenville) and Senator Kathy Marchione (R,C,I-Halfmoon) today honored from Shenendehowa High School in Clifton Park, the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) Class AA State Diving Champion Nick Lydon and the state 99-Pound Division 1 Wrestling Champion Stevo Poulin and presented them with copies of resolutions they sponsored that unanimously passed the New York State Senate.
Lydon, a senior at Shen, scored 559.25 point in the 11-dive state championship at the Nassau County Aquatic Center in East Meadow on March 2nd. Earlier in the season Lydon shattered the state record with a score of 661.75 at the annual Shenendehowa Invitational. He earned a full scholarship to attend the University of Florida in the fall where he will continue to compete in diving.
Poulin, who is just a freshman at Shen, won the state wrestling title at the Times Union Center on February 24th after capping a season record of 44-1. Prior to beginning his freshman year at high school Poulin established himself in the sport of wrestling at the national level winning the 2017 National High School Coaches Association Nationals in the 85-pound weight class.
