Senator Jose Peralta Presents a State Citation to Hero Rookie Cop from the 115th Police Precinct who Saved a Baby

Today, State Senator Jose Peralta presented a state citation to police officer Osvaldo Nuñez, assigned to the 115th Police Precinct, for saving the life of an infant who was unresponsive after her mother brought her to the precinct.
Rebeca Alarcon ran with her 20-month-old toddler to the 115th Precinct after noticing her daughter stopped breathing. Officer Nuñez came to the rescue. He placed the bay on the ground and began CPR. Fortunately, after performing CPR, baby Leah opened her eyes and was responsive. Officer Nuñez, who grew up in Queens, graduated recently from the police academy.
