New York State Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. will once again be hosting his free annual Veterans BBQ in Howard Beach at the end of September to celebrate veterans and their service to the country.
As the ranking member of the Senate Committee on Veterans, Homeland Security and Military Affairs, Addabbo has been hosting this free event since he became a member of the Senate in 2008.
This year’s event will take place on Saturday, September 29 at the Howard Beach Motor Club, located at 59 Russel Street, in Howard Beach, from noon to 2 p.m. Veterans and a guest are invited to enjoy food, music, and drinks donated by several local businesses and organizations. Seating is limited and reservations are required.
“As I like to say, every day is Veterans’ Day, and one of the best ways to honor our veterans is by throwing them their very own party,” Addabbo said. “The men and women who have served in our armed forces and put their lives on the line to protect the freedoms that we enjoy deserve to feel appreciated all of the time. It is my honor to host this free event for veterans each year, so they know that their service to our country is respected and appreciated by all.”
Veterans are welcome to attend the event and may bring one guest with them. To make the necessary reservations, call Addabbo’s office at 718-738-1111.
