What: Grant Opportunities Workshop
Who: State Senator Leroy Comrie in partnership with North Star Fund, the New York Women's Foundation, the New York Community Trust, Seachange Capital Partners, and the Foundation Center
When: Monday, April 9, 2018 between 6:30 PM and 8:30 PM
Where: Charles W. Mixon New Life Center 112-50 Springfield Boulevard, Cambria Heights, NY
Why: Government funding is not the only type of funding that is available to Southeast Queens nonprofits. There are many organizations that are working to connect startup and established nonprofits with the money they need to make a meaningful impact. Senator Comrie has organized several such organizations to host a grant opportunities informational workshop for community members who are interested in how local nonprofits can take advantage of the nongovernmental funding. Senator Comrie's district office is continuing to accept reservations for the workshop via phone.
