Senator Comrie, City Agencies to Provide Lien Help

Who: Senator Leroy Comrie, the New York City Department of Finance, the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, and the New York City Department of Housing Preservation & Development
When: Monday, May 7, 2018 at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM
Where: Grace Gospel Tabernacle 96-09 Springfield Boulevard, Queens Village, NY
Why: Senator Leroy Comrie and the New York City Department of Finance, in collaboration with the New York City Department of Housing Preservation & Development and the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, will host a Lien Sale Outreach Session for local residents who may be facing tax, water, or emergency repair liens. Representatives from each agency will be on hand to discuss options for preventing the sale of liens and avoiding future lien sales. Financial advisors will also be present to help attendees make informed decisions.
There are liens on over 3,500 properties across Queens, many of which are located in the 14th Senate District. Senator Comrie hopes to inform those in Southeast Queens and throughout the borough who may be facing lien sales of their opportunities for recourse.
