Why: New York’s Utility Project is an initiative of the Public Utility Law Project of New York, Inc. (PULP), a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, that has advocated for universal service, affordability, and customer protections for New York State utility consumers since 1981. New York’s Utility Project builds upon the Public Utility Law Project’s history of protecting, empowering and representing New York’s low-income utility consumers.

State Senator Comrie is working alongside PULP to bring high quality utility legal services and valuable information to residents of the 14th Senate District. The high cost of utilities is a financial strain on many local residents. Senator Comrie and the experts at PULP aim to empower individuals and families struggling with their utility bills by helping them to understand their rights and opportunities for legal recourse when it comes to resolving their utility-related issues.
