Barbara Underwood Named AG
Graham S. Parker
May 25, 2018
Its official, Barbara Underwood will stay on as Attorney General. The seat will be open to the upcoming elections this year as AG Underwood has indicated she will not run. AG Underwood made this decision well before anyone raised the issue of appointments, incumbency, or open elections. To her credit, the moment she agreed to stay on, she stated it would end when her replacement was elected and sworn in. It may seem like this is a quality in short supply today. AG Underwood is proof that is not true. AG Underwood possesses a remarkable résumé and is well respected throughout the Department of Law. She will be a steadfast advocate for our state and community.
