Free Writing Workshop Available for Breast, Gynecologic Cancer Survivors in Genesee County

Senator Michael H. Ranzenhofer has announced today to breast and gynecological cancer survivors in the Batavia and surrounding areas in Genesee County that the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester (BCCR) is offering a free, five-week Voices & Visions writing workshop beginning on Saturday, March 3, 2018.
“I commend the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester for sponsoring this important program, and I encourage breast and gynecologic cancer survivors in Genesee County to participate,” said Ranzenhofer.
The workshop will run for five consecutive Saturdays through March 31st. Each class will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the First Presbyterian Church, located at 300 East Main Street in Batavia. Kathy Simpson, a retired Licensed Mental Health Counselor, will lead the classes.

Voices & Visions is an exciting program that gives those who have received a diagnosis of breast cancer or gynecologic cancer an opportunity to explore and express their feelings through writing. This warm and supportive group is led by a professional, sensitive instructor. Writing has proven to be very therapeutic for cancer survivors. No previous writing experience necessary!
