ONTARIO CENTER – Senator Pam Helming recently recognized the Wayne Central School District’s volleyball and cheerleading teams, which both won the Section V championships in their respective sports during the fall season. During a Board of Education meeting on Thursday, Jan. 11, she presented a proclamation to each team and gave certificates to the players of each team.
“One of my pleasures in my role as State Senator is recognizing the accomplishments of individuals and organizations in the communities across the Wayne-Finger Lakes region, and I take particular pride in honoring student achievement both in the classroom and on the sports field. With that in mind, it was so fantastic to honor the Wayne Central School District’s volleyball and cheerleading teams for their outstanding accomplishments in bringing home Section V championship trophies this year. Congratulations to all of the student-athletes on a terrific season,” Senator Helming said.
