GENEVA, NY - Senator Pam Helming recently attended Webster Rotary Welcome Home Celebration for the troops of the 3-126 Army National Guard from Rochester, New York who have spent the last six months in Afghanistan. Over the last nine years, Webster Rotary has worked to support our soldiers by sending care packages to them while they are serving overseas. The organization has sent over 500 care packages to the troops including items such as candy bars, gum and even magazines.
“As a member of a military family, it was an honor to be a part of such an amazing event and recognize the service and sacrifice of our soldiers. These soldiers have been away from their families and friends, protecting our country, and participating in this program is just one way we can say thank you. We must continue to recognize the many sacrifices they make to protect our nation. I want to thank all our service men and women for all they do and I look forward to working with the Webster Rotary to support this terrific program. ” Senator Helming said.
Senator Helming represents the 54th Senate District, which consists of Seneca and Wayne Counties, parts of Cayuga and Ontario Counties, and the towns of Lansing and Webster. For more information, please visit Senator Helming’s website, or follow @SenatorHelming on Facebook or Twitter.
