Senator Helming Kicks Off Summer and Fall Mobile Office Hours
Senator Pam Helming
July 9, 2018
GENEVA – Senator Pam Helming today announced five Mobile Office Hours events during the summer and fall in addition to her regular office hours at her District Office in Geneva and Satellite Office in Lyons. These events will take place at locations throughout the Wayne-Finger Lakes region so that residents around the area can address their concerns right in their own communities rather than having to travel.
“Last year, I hosted numerous successful Mobile Office Hours events throughout the six-county area that I represent. Holding these meetings in nearly every corner of my district provided another great opportunity to connect personally with local residents, elected officials, businesses, and organizations and to hear firsthand what was on their minds with regard to New York State matters. Hosting traveling office hours is as important to me as it is to my constituents. First, it provides constituents more convenient access to their State Senator, and second, it provides me with good insight on what is important to the people I represent. I am able to use this information throughout the legislation session. The format of our mobile office meetings will continue to be very flexible. This will allow us to continue to offer personal assistance to those with private concerns and to also meet the needs of small groups interested in sharing information on much broader topics. I look forward to kicking off my 2018 summer and fall Mobile Office Hours series later this month and building upon last year’s success,” Senator Helming said.
Senator Helming’s five Mobile Office Hours will take place as follows:
- Town of Webster: 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 25 – Webster Public Library, 980 Ridge Road, Webster.
- Town of Lansing: 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, August 9 – Lansing Community Library, 27 Auburn Road, Lansing.
- Town of Throop: 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, September 13 – Throop Town Hall, 7471 Robinson Road, Auburn.
- Village of Fair Haven: 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, October 25 – Fair Haven Fire Department, 14447 Fair Haven Road, Sterling.
- Town of Ovid: 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, November 8 – Seneca Coffee House, 2160 County Road 139, Ovid.
Constituents may also visit Senator Helming’s District Office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at 425 Exchange St., Geneva, and they may contact the office at (315) 568-9816. Senator Helming also has a Satellite Office that is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month in the Wayne County Courthouse. That office is located at 26 Church St., Room 207, Lyons, and it can be reached at (315) 946-6380.
