Senator Pam Helming

January 22, 2018

CLIFTON SPRINGS – Senator Pam Helming visited the Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic on Friday, Jan. 12 to learn more about the different aspects of the premises, including the behavioral health and addiction wing that is the only one of its kind in the Wayne-Finger Lakes region. She also toured the entrance area where renovations are planned, and she met with Dr. Dustin Riccio, President of the Eastern Region of Rochester Regional Health, and members of the hospital’s Board of Directors to discuss their ideas and concerns and her legislative priorities. Senator Helming heard about the shortage of qualified nurses and the career opportunities that are available in the nursing field.

“As a New York State Senator, I am always concerned about how the drug addiction crisis is impacting our families and our communities, and I remain committed to looking for solutions to this problem. That being said, I appreciate the work that the doctors, nurses, and staff at Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic do on a daily basis to serve our community and our people, particularly in the behavioral health and addiction wing. As the only one of its kind in our region, this wing is a critical asset in our collaborative efforts against this epidemic, and I look forward to supporting it however I can. It was great to meet with the Board of Directors and hear their ideas as well as tell them about my plans this year. Thank you to Bonnie Ross, one of the board members, for inviting me for a visit, and thank you to everyone who joined the tour for talking with me,” Senator Helming said.
