State Senator Patty Ritchie had the opportunity to meet with two former New York Yankee managers—Joe Torre and Joe Girardi—at the Capitol Building recently.
Torre led the Bronx Bombers to four World Series titles during his time as the Yankee manager (1996-2007). Girardi was a player under Torre for three of those titles. He won his fourth championship with the Yankees as the team’s manager in 2009.
Torre and Girardi were in Albany to discuss the issue of sports betting in New York State.
