Ortt Honors Robyn L. Krueger With Distinctive Award

Today, Senator Rob Ortt (R,C,I,Ref-North Tonawanda) recognized Lockport resident, Robyn L. Krueger, as one of the New York State Senate’s Women of Distinction. Krueger, who has served the Niagara Falls community for over four decades, is no stranger to recognition. As the recipient of multiple awards, including the 2006 Anthony J. Cuccurullo Award by the Juvenile Detention Association of NYS, Inc. and the 2009 Niagara USA Chamber Community Advocate of the Year Award, Robyn has served Community Missions (CMI) and been a pillar in the community since college graduation.

“Robyn is the ideal definition of an upstanding citizen,” said Sen. Ortt. “Her decades of service to Community Missions not only displays her loyalty to our Greater Niagara community but illustrates what can be accomplished when one finds their true mission in life. It’s remarkable to think of the countless number of men, women, and children whose lives were changed for the better because of Robyn’s efforts; and I want to thank her for all she has done for our community.”

While Robyn continues to serve as CMI Executive Director, her involvement has expanded from the local community to the county level, and eventually statewide. She currently sits on several local boards or associations, some of which are the Association for Community Living; the Homeless Alliance of Western New York; the Niagara County Coalition for Services to the Homeless; and the Niagara County Juvenile Justice Taskforce.

Thanks to her leadership as President of the Juvenile Detention Association of New York State, and continued involvement with the New York State Office of Child and Family Services, the Empire State Coalition of Youth and Family Services, and the New York Juvenile Re-entry Taskforce, Robyn has been able to influence lives for the better across our state.

Along with being a member of the Who’s Who Among Outstanding Business Executives and a 2003 nominee for the NYS Senate’s Women in Leadership program, Robyn was also featured in Buffalo Business First.

“This proud graduate of Leadership Niagara’s Class of 2004 continues to represent all that is great about our district and I am honored to recognize her this year as one of the New York’s State Senate’s Women of Distinction,” Sen. Ortt ended.
