(Brooklyn, NY) Senator Persaud hosted her second annual Power 19 Award Ceremony on Thursday, June 28, 2018, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center.
Senator Persaud recognized 19 individuals making a contribution in transforming their communities and institutions. There was special recognition conveyed on Deputy Inspector Neteis Gilbert. The featured speaker was Henry Bolus. He was presented with a NYS Proclamation and the Liberty Medal which is the highest civilian medal.
“It is important to highlight the extraordinary work of individuals in our community. They are the unsung heroes who make an indelible mark in the lives of those with whom they come into contact. For their yeoman service, we applaud them.” Senator Persaud said.
Khari Edwards, Vice President of External Affairs, presented remarks on behalf of Brookdale Hospital Medical Center. He expressed his gratitude to Senator Persaud for her commitment to Brookdale Hospital and the wider community.
