September 24, 2019
BRONX/WESTCHESTER, NY – Today the office of State Senator Alessandra Biaggi held voter registration drives at three school locations across Senate District 34. Members of Team Biaggi and volunteers registered constituents to vote in celebration of National Voter Registration Day, which is recognized every year on the fourth Tuesday of September.
State Senator Alessandra Biaggi (D-Bronx/Westchester) issued the following statement:
"National Voter Registration Day is a great opportunity to educate members of District 34 about the importance of civic engagement. Voting is one of the best avenues to ensure your voice is heard in our democracy, and that candidates are held accountable for reflecting the values of the people they represent. When I was inaugurated I made a pledge to our community that my office would register students and constituents to vote across District 34, and I am excited to be working towards that goal. I am grateful to my team and the volunteers who made today's National Voter Registration Day Drives a success. For constituents who were unable to make it to one of our three registration locations, I encourage them to reach out to my office for further assistance.”
