Senator Hoylman Sworn in for Fourth Term in Albany
January 9, 2019
ALBANY- Senator Brad Hoylman (D/WF-Manhattan) was sworn in today for his fourth term. He will serve as Chair of the Senate Judiciary Commitee for the 2019 legislative session.
Senator Hoylman said: “Today, we witntessed history. Our new Democratic majority is here to make New York the beacon of hope and progressivism we always knew it could be. I could not be more honored to serve the 27th District of Manhattan under the leadership of Andrea Stewart Cousins, the first woman ever to lead a New York State Legislative Chamber.
The issue of equal access to justice and judicial independence couldn’t be more important as Trump continues his all-out assault on our court system. I’m extremely honored to serve as Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee and look forward to leading the charge to protect the rights of all New Yorkers.”
