James Sanders Jr.

December 20, 2019

Senator James Sanders Jr. (D-Rochdale Village, Far Rockaway) is proud to announce that Governor Cuomo has signed more of his bills into law.

Bill S.6249 - This bill would clarify the employee requirements for appraisal management companies.

The law will clearly state that an appraisal management company may hire or contract a person for property inspections or property evaluations if they are licensed as an appraiser, real estate broker, or home inspector, or a person for a broker price opinion if they are licensed as a real estate broker.

Bill S.5987- Establishes space on the business franchise and personal income tax forms to make a gift for home delivered meals for seniors; creates the senior wellness in nutrition fund.

“Homebound senior citizens who are unable to shop or cook for themselves benefit greatly from home delivered meals,” Sanders said. “The growing need for this service exceeds the currently available funding. This legislation would encourage financial contributions to this necessary program”
