Skoufis Announces Route 32 Maintenance in New Windsor
Senator James Skoufis (D-Hudson Valley) announced Route 32 will be repaved at three intersections in New Windsor: Union Avenue, Old Forge Hill Road, and Old Temple Hill Road. Senator Skoufis lobbied the Department of Transportation for these necessary repairs. Earlier in March, Senator Skoufis also announced $1.8 million in funding to resurface Route 32 from Timber Trail to Maple Road in the Town of Woodbury.
“Many of our roads are riddled with dangerous potholes and re in desperate need of resurfacing, said Senator Skoufis. "While there's more work to do in New Windsor and elsewhere, maintenance at these three intersections along Route 32 is welcome news for local residents and drivers. Maintaining and upgrading our infrastructure continues to be a top priority for me in the Senate - there's lots more to come."
Due to the critical condition, funding for the project will come from a Special Service Treatments Contract from the Department of Transportation. The repaving will begin May 13th.
