**PRESS RELEASE**
Skoufis Tours Lightning Express Delivery Service Inc.
Senator James Skoufis (D-Hudson Valley) toured the Lightning Express Delivery Service Inc. in Plattekill. The Senator met with Joe Fitzpatrick, Lightning Express' founder, to discuss transportation in New York, the shortage of truck drivers in the state, and the potential effect of congestion pricing on shipments. Both the Senator and Fitzpatrick emphasized the importance of promoting trade work to high school students as an alternate way to make a living.
“Policy in Albany has real implications to small businesses here in New York,” said Senator Skoufis. “It’s important to understand the challenges that small businesses face and what we can do better legislatively to empower these businesses to thrive. I will always prioritize meeting with businesses in our district to ensure that Albany is listening to their concerns.”
