Senator Jim Tedisco (R,C,I,REF-Glenville) today served as a guest reader in Amy Clapper's and Rebecca Pratt's second grade classes at Northville Elementary School.
Tedisco, a former special education teacher, guidance counselor, athletic director and coach, read the students the book "On the Farm at the Market" as part of Cornell Cooperative Extension's Agricultural Literacy Program. Senator Tedisco also presented the teachers and class with a NYS Senate Citation for their outstanding efforts to promote literacy and the important role agriculture plays in our state's economy.
"Northville is a wonderful school district in the 49th Senate District and Mrs. Clapper's and Mrs. Pratt's classes were very bright, attentive and curious. As a former teacher, I always enjoy getting back into the classroom, meeting with students and listening to parents and educators first-hand," said Tedisco.
