Statement by Senator Jim Tedisco (R,C,I,REF-Glenville) on Passing of Former Schenectady Mayor Frank Duci

“I’m very saddened to learn the news of the loss of one of the City of Schenectady’s finest-ever public servants, former Mayor Frank Duci.  Mayor Duci was a public servant dynamo and a juggernaut in and of himself when it came to standing up for what he believed was in the best interest of those he represented in his many years of dedicated public service.” 

“In serving as a city councilman for 5 years with him as Mayor, I can say no other public servant I served with since has illustrated his or her love more for their community, and in Frank’s case, the City of Schenectady, or fought harder for what they believed was in the people’s best interest, than Mayor Frank Duci.  Frank was a tireless worker who never backed down from a challenge or a debate. He was diminutive in size but larger than life as a public servant.”

 “In my mind, Frank Duci is and always will be the people’s MAYOR!!! My deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, and all those who remember him fondly. May he Rest in Peace!"
