Tedisco Honors Niskayuna High School Star of Hit Netflix Show “Stranger Things”

Senator Jim Tedisco (R,C,I,REF-Glenville) today honored “Stranger Things 3” star Gabriella “Gabby” Pizzolo of Niskayuna to celebrate her breakthrough performance as the character “Suzie” in the hit Netflix television program.

Over 40 million people watched “Stranger Things 3”over the July 4thweekend alone, according to Netflix. Pizzolo, who has starred on Broadway in the title role in “Matilda”and as Young Alison in the Tony-winning “Fun Home,” gave a bravura musical performance of the song “Never Ending Story” in the “Stranger Things 3”season finale with the character Dustin, played by Gaten Matarazzo,that has generated a tremendous amount of buzz. 

Without giving more away in terms of spoilers, Pizzolo’s character is central to the outcome of “Stranger Things 3.”

Tedisco presented Pizzolo, who is 16-years-old and going into her junior year at Niskayuna High School, with a New York State Senate Proclamation.

We know even bigger things are to come in Gabby’s future and we wish her continued success in all her endeavors.”
