Senator Jim Tedisco (R,C,I,REF-Glenville) today presented the state Senate's Empire Award, the Senate's highest award for small businesses and non-profits, to Lindsey Bezio, owner of Mr. Lindsey's Old School American Barbershop in Clifton Park, for all he does for the community.
Lindsey Bezio, a Vietnam era veteran, is a lifelong barber who provides free haircuts to many of the World War II veterans who live in Coburg Village in Clifton Park and he does house calls for some of his clients who are no longer able to make it to his shop. Lindsey also does a wonderful job giving haircuts to clients with special needs.
"Lindsey Bezio is a great small business owner who not only contributes to our local economy but also to our community by giving back in so many ways and making the 49th Senate District a great place to call home," said Senator Tedisco, who credited Mr. Lindsey customer Gerard Havasy for bringing him to his attention.
Senator Tedisco was joined by Clifton Park Supervisor Phil Barrett, who presented Bezio with a recognition award from the Town of Clifton Park.
