Senator Jim Tedisco (R,C,I,REF-Glenville) today announced a new $250,000 state grant he helped secure to return tax dollars back to the 49th Senate District and Clifton Park residents.

The state grant that Senator Tedisco obtained will enable residents and visitors to Clifton Park to enjoy the new 37-acre public park approved by voters and purchased by the town from the Shenendehowa School District.

The town is currently continuing to encourage public input through workshops and town meetings on a draft plan for public use of the new parkland.

“This new Town Center Park is a beautifully forested hidden jewel that will now be accessible to and enjoyed by residents for generations to come,” said Senator Jim Tedisco.  “I was proud to help return some tax dollars back to the 49th Senate district by securing this $250,000 state grant and protect this parkland that was created thanks to the overwhelming support of voters and the leadership of Supervisor Barrett and the Clifton Park Town Board.”

“The Town of Clifton Park thanks Senator Jim Tedisco for his continued support of quality of life initiatives in Clifton Park,” said Town Supervisor Phil Barrett. “The grant funds will be invested in enhancing the enjoyment of the 37-acre Town Center Park purchased by the Town Board and supported by so many Clifton Park residents.”
