Senator Jim Tedisco (R,C,I,REF-Glenville) and Assemblywoman Mary Beth Walsh (R,C,I-Ballston) recently honored the Class A New York State Champion Ballston Spa High School Varsity Boys Baseball Team in celebration of their amazing championship season – the school’s first state title in 46 years!
Tedisco and Walsh presented the team and coaches with copies of a New York State Legislative Resolution they passed in the Senate and Assembly to recognize and honor the Scotties, who defeated Maine-Endwell High School in a decisive 13-6 victory to secure the state title last month in Binghamton.
Ballston Spa finished the campaign for state immortality with an offensive onslaught, scoring 23 runs in the last 24 hours of the state tournament. The Scotties ended their outstanding season with an impressive overall record of 24-2.
