Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr.

State Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. is inviting constituents who would like to speak with him on any community issue or personal matter they wish, to come out to the first ever Java with Joe event in Glendale this October.
On Saturday, October 5, Addabbo will be at Flower Power Coffee House NYC, located at 64-02 Myrtle Avenue, in Glendale, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. to chat with anyone who wants to come down and discuss an issue with him.
Addabbo normally holds these types of events at Queens Public Library branches throughout his Senate District, but wants to expand his availability to his constituents. Addabbo understands that it may be difficult for residents to make it into one of his three district offices during normal business hours, or even to his Mobile Office Hours events during the week, which is what drove him to create this new weekend event.
“I have always tried to make myself available to my constituents since being elected to the Senate in 2008,” Addabbo said. “As a way to stick to that commitment, I have created this new event, Java with Joe, where anyone can come down to their local coffee shop, grab a drink, and chat with their Senator. I hope making myself available during weekend hours will be beneficial to those residents who cannot come see me or my staff during the week.”
A portion of all proceeds made by Flower Power Coffee House NYC during Addabbo’s visit will go to benefit a charity of the shop owner’s choice. Flower Power Coffee House NYC will be donating funds to the New York Road Runners Team for Kids.
“This is the very first time I am holding a Java with Joe event, and I would like to thank Flower Power Coffee House NYC for their partnership in this endeavor,” Addabbo said. “I hope to see plenty of people come down on October 5, buy a coffee, make a donation and talk about issues in the community.”
