Pleased to announce that the state Senate recently passed my bill, S4423, which provides a program to promote leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma research, education and treatment and establishes the leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma research, education and treatment fund.
Similar to the "check-off box" for Alzheimer's, breast cancer and other diseases on personal and corporate income tax returns, this legislation will provide for a "check-off box" for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. Just about everyone knows somebody who has been affected by these terrible diseases. Any amount of money we can help raise for awareness and treatment can go a long way.
