Statement from Senator Joe Robach on the Start of the 2019 Legislative Session
January 9, 2019
The 2019 Legislative Session is officially underway. Now, more than ever before, it is critically important for us to have a strong voice for Rochester, Monroe County and upstate New York as much of the balance of power has shifted to New York City and downstate. I greatly appreciate the opportunity to continue to serve our region in the state Senate. I will continue to advocate for improving affordability for our residents, reducing taxes on people and businesses, creating better job opportunities for our workforce, and ensuring the fair and equal treatment of Rochester and upstate in state government.
I was proud to stand with my colleagues today to address anti-Democratic rules changes that the new Majority wants to make to the operations of the state Senate.
