September 16, 2019
BRASHER – New York State Senate Deputy Minority Leader Joseph Griffo, R-I-C-Rome, on Sunday joined with Town of Brasher officials and others for a ribbon cutting ceremony for a new pavilion at the Tri-Town Community Center.
Deputy Minority Leader Griffo secured $70,000 for the pavilion work, which included a structure kit, concrete base pad and roofing materials.
“It was my pleasure to advocate for and obtain this funding for the Town of Brasher,” Deputy Minority Leader Griffo said. “With this funding, the town has been able to make enhancements that will provide community members with a beautiful space to gather and enjoy the company of friends, family and neighbors."
Deputy Minority Leader Griffo also secured $50,000 for the town to purchase four generators. The generators will be located at the Helena water pump house and the town's municipal building, garage and sewer plant.
“We are greatly appreciative of Deputy Minority Leader Griffo’s efforts in securing this funding,” Town of Brasher Supervisor Mark Peets said. “This funding has allowed us to make needed improvements that will benefit the community.”
