(Garden City, NY) – The “Rhythm of the Knight” Uniondale Show Choir are ready to sing their hearts out at the Fame 2019 Show Choir National Finals in Chicago. After winning back-to-back annual Grand Champion titles in Orlando, the talented group of singers are energized and ready to wow audiences at this elite, nationally-ranked competition.
“The Uniondale Show Choir is an incredibly gifted, passionate group that shares the power of music with audiences across the country,” Senator Kevin Thomas said. “These students are an inspiration to their community. We are proud to celebrate their impressive achievements and help them get to the competition in Chicago.”
Thanks to the incomparable Lynette Carr-Hicks, who guides the team, the Rhythm of the Knight has demonstrated excellence in all areas of performance art since its founding in 2010. The students have worked long and hard to perfect their vocal techniques, choreography, and performance skills, delivering a performance unlike any other.
“The Rhythm of the Knight show choir has become a source of great pride for the Uniondale community. These young men and women are hardworking, dedicated and passionate, and they’ve shown us that they have what it takes to compete at the national level. Rhythm of the Knight deserves our help, and our community must do everything we can to give them another opportunity to bring home a national championship,” Congresswoman Kathleen Rice said.
“The young men and women of the Rhythm of the Night have consistently demonstrated outstanding resolve, teamwork, and raw talent. One only needs to see one of their jaw-dropping performances to see why they’re Grand Champions of America two years running. Nassau County is proud to celebrate their achievements,” Nassau County Executive Laura Curran added.
“I am so impressed with the talent and dedication of our Uniondale Show Choir. Our National Champions have accomplished so much despite the financial challenges associated with competing nationally. Their show BLEW me away! I never wanted it to end. I implore any and everyone to experience their show and contribute to this incredible group! Imagine all they could accomplish with more support,” Assemblywoman Taylor Raynor said.
Senator Thomas is in the process of passing a resolution recognizing the talented and outstanding Uniondale students.
