Senator Helming Attends Rededication of the Southern Cayuga Planetarium
November 7, 2019
Senator Pam Helming attended the opening and rededication of the Southern Cayuga Planetarium at the Southern Cayuga Central School District on Friday, November 1st. Senator Helming secured a $50,000 state grant for a new state of the art projection system, which will provide real-time visualizations and flight simulations through space.
“The closure of the Planetarium in 2014 left a hole in the heart of our community. Now, it is fully restored and will even host the district’s robotics program. This will be an incredible resource for all the schools in the region and an amazing opportunity for the education of our students as STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) is our future,” said Senator Helming.
