Senator Helming Honors Seneca County Veterans at Seneca Event

SENECA FALLS - Senator Pam Helming recently recognized thirteen veterans who live in Seneca County during a veterans recognition ceremony at the Kirk-Casey American Legion Post 366 on Tuesday, November 5. The veterans were nominated by family, friends, and members of the community for the New York State Senate Veterans’ Hall of Fame, and they were among a total of 76 nominations Senator Helming received for this award across the six counties that she represents.
The veterans from Seneca County honored at this event include Howard Amidon, David Bethea Jr., Marshall C. Burgess, Anthony J. Casamassima, Stanley B. Grela, Raymond L. Hauf, Mary Joslyn, William L. Moore, Sharon Rayno, Louis Roy Rizzieri, Francis Anthony Saracino, Emerson L. Smith, and Keith Tidball.
“These nominees have contributed so much to our society and to our way of life. They have committed themselves to our country and were willing to lay down their lives to protect our freedoms. It was a privilege to recognize and honor these amazing men and women and to be able to express our eternal gratitude for their service. Thank you to the Kirk-Casey American Legion Post 366 for hosting us, and thank you to the Mynderse Academy Chorus for your patriotic musical performance,” Senator Helming said.
