Senator Helming Honors Veterans from Cayuga County and the Town of Lansing at Veterans Event

AUBURN - Senator Pam Helming recently recognized eleven veterans who live in Cayuga County and the Town of Lansing during a veterans recognition ceremony at Auburn City Hall on Wednesday, November 6. The veterans were nominated by family, friends, and members of the community for the New York State Senate Veterans’ Hall of Fame, and they were among a total of 76 nominations Senator Helming received for prestigious award across the six counties that she represents.
The veterans honored at this event include Francis E. Bell, Sr., Bradley R. Devitt, Jeffrey A. Green, Paul W. Lattimore, Sr., James H. Orman, Jerome Rizzo, John P. Sincebaugh, Stanley L. Smith, Robert Lee Strohm II, Nicholas Valenti, and Charles S. Wilbur.
“These nominees have contributed so much to our society and to our way of life. They have committed themselves to our country and were willing to lay down their lives to protect our freedoms. It was a privilege to recognize and honor these amazing men and women and to be able to express our eternal gratitude for their service. Thank you to Auburn City Hall for hosting us, and thank you to the Auburn High School Choir for your patriotic musical performance,” Senator Helming said.
