Senator Helming Hosts First Annual Barktober Pet Food Drive
December 4, 2019
Senator Pam Helming partnered with the Beverly Animal Shelter in Seneca County to host her first annual Barktober Pet Food Drive. Senator Helming’s District Office in Geneva served as a collection point for bagged dry dog and cat food, wet dog, kitten and cat food, animal treats, kitty litter, and unused toys.
“As winter approaches, there is an especially urgent need for dog and cat food at our local animal shelters. Companion animals bring so much joy to our lives and this is just one way we can support the shelter and its dedicated volunteers who take in and rehabilitate abandoned and abused animals in our community until they can be matched with their forever homes. Thank you to the Beverly Animal Shelter and its volunteers for their partnership in this tradition to help our furry friends,” Senator Helming said.
