Senator Helming Hosts Mental Health Forum; Brings Advocates Together
November 1, 2019
Senator Pam Helming recently teamed up with healthcare, education and law enforcement experts throughout Seneca County to explore solutions to the mental health issues that many in our community face. A group of approximately twenty mental health professionals, school superintendents, law enforcement and local officials reviewed existing mental health services in the County and attendees identified needs that still exist and priorities to help combat mental health issues in our region and state.
“Sadly, issues related to mental health are becoming more and more prevalent in our society and we need to work together to find ways to improve mental health access and treatment in our schools and communities. Thank you to everyone who took part in this critical conversation and I look forward to continuing our work together to combat mental health issues,” Senator Helming said.
