Senator Pam Helming recently visited Newark-Wayne Community Hospital located in Newark. Newark-Wayne Community Hospital has applied to be a Magnet Hospital, which is an award given to hospitals that demonstrate a high quality and strength in their nursing. Hosted by Chief Nursing Officer, Terri Glessner and Dr. Dustin Riccio, Senator Helming was able to join a panel of elected officials and community leaders to meet with a magnet appraiser who was also conducting a site visit.
“Thank you to Chief Nursing Officer, Terri Glessner and Dr. Dustin Riccio, for having me at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital. It was a great opportunity to discuss the work that is done day in and day out to help the hospital’s patients and the community as a whole. I look forward to working with the hospital as it continues to grow,” Senator Helming said.
