#S1634  Creates a task force on disasters to examine how insurers who write policies that cover loss of or damage to real property, personal property or other liabilities for loss of damage to, or injury to persons or property in the state respond to disasters.

#S1012  This bill will authorize the Enlarged City School District of Middletown to create an insurance reserve fund.

#S250  Establishes a private student loan refinance task force to study and report on ways lending institutions offering private student loans to graduates of institutions of higher education can be encouraged to establish student loan refinancing programs.

#S2039  Chapter amendment that makes changes to provisions of L.2018, c.402, to change the effective date and allow the Department of Financial Services to promulgate regulations to facilitate the transition to standardized license renewal dates for business entities.

#S521A  Designates that portion of state route 17 in the village of Hillburn, town of Ramapo, county of Rockland, as the "Justice Thurgood Marshall Memorial Highway".

#S978  Relates to parking spaces for handicapped persons; provides that the commissioner of motor vehicles shall provide in any pre-licensing course a mandatory component of education of the laws relating to handicapped accessible parking.

#S2377  Requires the veterans health care information program to provide information concerning health issues to veteran's children; requires the department of corrections and community supervision to maintain records regarding the military background of certain individuals under its jurisdiction.

NAY  (Potential infringement of privacy and impact on gun ownership)

#S300  The Marriage Equality Act enacted as Chapter 95 of 2011 provides that marriages of same-sex and different-sex couples are to be treated equally in all respects under the law. This bill makes conforming changes to the Estates, Powers and Trusts Law (EPTL) and the Surrogate's Court Procedure Act (SCPA) to reflect the provisions of the Act.

#S2316  To prohibit oil and natural gas drilling in New York's coastal areas.

NAY  (Drilling not subject to State jurisdiction as it will be done in Federal waters; purely symbolic; continued natural gas shortage in NYS)

#S2317  Relates to the taking of menhaden; provides that menhaden (Brevoortia tyrannus) from which oil or meal is made may not be taken from the waters of the marine district with a purse seine unless the department determines there is an imminent risk of a fish kill.

#S2411  To extend the authorization for New York's Ocean Acidification Task Force to facilitate research, public education, and information-sharing regarding ocean acidification and its impacts on the State.
