SENATOR ANTONACCI RESPONDS TO NEW INFORMATION ON INTERSTATE 81 PROJECT

          With regards to the data released today in 12,000 pages, I find it incredulous the State DOT completed this information two years ago regarding perhaps the most important public works project in generations. If not for the efforts of concerned citizens, we may have never known this document existed.

          I am disappointed the DOT shared this important information with only a few select stakeholders, instead of with entities like the City of Syracuse, Onondaga County, and other local governments.

          I wonder how many hours we have wasted debating these issues without the benefit of the data provided in the Draft Environmental Impact Statement completed at the end of 2016.

          Like my colleague Rachel May, I respectfully request the State DOT release the much anticipated Environmental Impact Statement with expediency.
