Hundreds of Families Come Out to Senator Persaud's 2019 Annual Family Fun Day

The 2019 Annual Family Fun Day was Senator Persaud's fourth (free) event of its kind; and like previous years, it had a large turnout by the community. Hundreds of families came out and enjoyed activities like life-sized board games and carnival attractions — including a rock-climbing wall — as well as a variety of refreshments, giveaways and raffles, and helpful information and resources.

In addition to numerous vendors and organizations, the event was held in partnership with ASPCA, BMS Family Health, Broadway Stages, Brookdale Hospital, Brooklyn USA Basketball, DSNY, FDNY, Jersey Lynne, Jetro Cash and Carry, Midget Squadron, Millennium Development, NYC DoE, NYPD, NYC Parks, Pagano Melon, Shoppers World, Sunrise Adult Health Care Center, UTZ and Tropical Fete Stilt Walkers.

"There are always things happening in Senate District 19," Senator Persaud said at the event. "I believe our constituents deserve access to opportunities that are not only affordable but enjoyable too. Too many families in the district face the challenge of finding fun activities for their children and loved ones that are cost-efficient, so I am delighted to host events like these that provide family-friendly entertainment and spread the word of the vast amount of resources available to the community. Family Fun Day has become an event that residents look forward to attending every summer, and one that we always strive to deliver as best we can."
