Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins' Statement on Hanukkah

"Tonight, neighbors of the Jewish faith will be celebrating the first night of Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights. A candle is lit on a menorah for each of the holiday's eight nights. Let us recognize the tenacity and faith of the Jewish people and listen closely to Hanukkah's messages of unity and hope.  In these difficult times, we are reminded how light can overcome darkness for those tenacious enough to fight for it. If we continue to support one another, we can make things a bit brighter. Wishing all who are celebrating, a Healthy and Happy Hanukkah."
