NYS Senate Majority Leader and local State Senator, Andrea Stewart-Cousins wants to hear from her constituents so she can put a spotlight on the exceptional things residents of the 35th Senate District are doing to help others during the coronavirus epidemic.
The Majority Leader is asking for people to share their stories by completing the attached form. You can talk about your own acts or you can tell us about someone else’s. The names submitted will be acknowledged in future emails from the Senator.
“I have been made aware of some wonderful and creative things my constituents have been doing to assist others,” said Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins. “Groups of teens collected money to buy and deliver food to hospital staff. Another young man created a website to help seniors living in his condominium. And of course, the vital and invaluable efforts our first responders and healthcare workers are making on the front lines.”
“I know there are so many others I have not heard about who are doing the same kinds of generous acts. I would like to hear about them so that I and everyone else can acknowledge their deeds of thoughtfulness,” she continued. “New Yorkers have been coming together to support each other throughout this crisis and these acts should be shared with all of us.”
